Setup

1. Charging the Battery

Insert the Battery Pack NB-13L into the Battery Charger CB-2LH. Connect the charger to a power outlet. The charging indicator will show the charging status. Once charging is complete, remove the battery.

2. Inserting the Battery and Memory Card

Open the battery/card compartment cover on the bottom of the camera. Insert the charged Battery Pack NB-13L, ensuring correct orientation. Insert a compatible SDXC memory card into the card slot until it clicks into place. Close the compartment cover securely.

Operating Instructions

1. Powering On/Off

Press the POWER button to turn the camera on or off.

2. Basic Shooting

  • Mode Dial: Rotate the mode dial to select your desired shooting mode (e.g., P for Program AE, Auto for automatic shooting, Creative Shot).
  • Zoom: Use the zoom lever around the shutter button to adjust the 40x optical zoom.
  • Focus: The camera features Contrast Detection, Multi-area, and Sensor autofocus technologies. Press the shutter button halfway to focus.
  • Shutter Button: Press fully to capture a photo.

3. Using the Tilt LCD Screen

The 3-inch LCD screen can be tilted up to 180 degrees. This is useful for self-portraits or shooting from high or low angles. Gently pull the top edge of the screen to adjust its position.

4. Connectivity (Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth)

The built-in flash can be set to Automatic, Fill-in, Off, or Slow Sync mode. Access flash settings through the camera's menu or dedicated flash button.

6. Video Recording
