Setup
1. Charging the Battery
Insert the Battery Pack NB-13L into the Battery Charger CB-2LH. Connect the charger to a power outlet. The charging indicator will show the charging status. Once charging is complete, remove the battery.
2. Inserting the Battery and Memory Card
Open the battery/card compartment cover on the bottom of the camera. Insert the charged Battery Pack NB-13L, ensuring correct orientation. Insert a compatible SDXC memory card into the card slot until it clicks into place. Close the compartment cover securely.

Operating Instructions
1. Powering On/Off
Press the POWER button to turn the camera on or off.
2. Basic Shooting
- Mode Dial: Rotate the mode dial to select your desired shooting mode (e.g., P for Program AE, Auto for automatic shooting, Creative Shot).
- Zoom: Use the zoom lever around the shutter button to adjust the 40x optical zoom.
- Focus: The camera features Contrast Detection, Multi-area, and Sensor autofocus technologies. Press the shutter button halfway to focus.
- Shutter Button: Press fully to capture a photo.

3. Using the Tilt LCD Screen
The 3-inch LCD screen can be tilted up to 180 degrees. This is useful for self-portraits or shooting from high or low angles. Gently pull the top edge of the screen to adjust its position.
4. Connectivity (Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth)
The camera supports Wi-Fi, NFC, and Bluetooth for wireless transfer of photos and videos to compatible devices. Refer to the camera's on-screen menu for detailed instructions on pairing and connection procedures.

5. Flash Modes
The built-in flash can be set to Automatic, Fill-in, Off, or Slow Sync mode. Access flash settings through the camera's menu or dedicated flash button.
6. Video Recording
To record video, rotate the mode dial to the video camera icon. Press the movie button to start and stop recording. The camera records FHD 1080p video in MP4 format.

Maintenance
1. Cleaning the Camera
