3. Operating (How to Play)
3.1. Objective of the Game
The objective of Monopoly Junior is to be the player with the most money when another player runs out of money and goes bankrupt.
3.2. Player Turn
- The youngest player starts the game. Play proceeds clockwise.
- On your turn, roll the die and move your token that many spaces clockwise around the board.
- Follow the instructions on the space you land on:
- Unowned Property: If you land on an unowned property, you must buy it. Pay the bank the amount shown on the space. Place one of your 'Sold' signs on the property to show you own it.
- Owned Property: If you land on a property owned by another player, you must pay them rent. The rent amount is shown on the property space. If the player owns both properties of the same color, the rent is doubled.
- Chance Space: Draw the top Chance card, read it aloud, and follow its instructions. Return the card to the bottom of the Chance pile.
- GO: If you land on or pass 'GO', collect 2 banknotes from the bank.
- Go to Jail: Move your token directly to the 'Jail' space. You cannot collect money for passing 'GO'. To get out of Jail, you can pay 1 banknote on your next turn, or roll a 6.
- Free Parking: This is a safe space. Nothing happens when you land here.
- Your turn ends after you have completed the action for the space you landed on.
