Speaker Impedance: Use speakers with an impedance of 6–16 ohms.

HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel): If your TV supports ARC, connect it to the HDMI MONITOR OUT (ARC) port to send audio from your TV back to the receiver.

Analog Connections: For devices with analog audio or video outputs, use the corresponding RCA or component video inputs. Note that the receiver does not convert analog video to digital HDMI output; analog video sources must be connected directly to your display if you wish to view them.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Denon AVRS930H, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

7.1 No Power

  • Check if the power cord is securely connected to the receiver and the wall outlet.
  • Ensure the wall outlet is functioning by plugging in another device.

7.2 No Sound

  • Verify that the correct input source is selected.
  • Check speaker connections for correct polarity and secure fit.
  • Ensure the volume is not muted or set too low.
  • If using HDMI ARC, confirm ARC is enabled on both the TV and receiver.

7.3 No Picture

  • Confirm the correct input source is selected on both the receiver and your TV.
  • Check HDMI cable connections between source devices, receiver, and TV.
  • If using an older TV with a 4K source and HDCP 2.2, you may experience compatibility issues. Ensure your TV and all connected devices support HDCP 2.2 for 4K content.

7.4 Wi-Fi Disconnects / Network Issues

  • Ensure the receiver is within range of your Wi-Fi router.
  • Try connecting the receiver via a wired Ethernet cable for a more stable connection.
  • Restart your router and the receiver.
  • If the Speaker Setup menu is greyed out, a power cycle of the receiver may resolve temporary network issues.

7.5 Receiver Gets Hot

  • Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit. Do not place it in an enclosed cabinet without proper airflow.
  • Avoid stacking other components directly on top of the receiver.
  • High volume levels or prolonged use of all 7 channels can generate heat, which is normal. However, excessive heat may indicate insufficient ventilation.
