4.1. Connecting the HT801

  1. Connect a standard analog telephone to the green FXS port on the HT801.
  2. Connect the Ethernet cable from the blue Ethernet port on the HT801 to your router or network switch.
  3. Connect the universal power adapter to the Micro-USB power port on the HT801, then plug it into a power outlet.
  4. Allow the device a few minutes to boot up and obtain an IP address. The LED indicators on the front panel will show status.

To configure the HT801, you will need to access its web-based configuration interface. The device typically obtains an IP address via DHCP from your network. You can find the IP address through your router's connected devices list or by using Grandstream's discovery tools.

  2. Once connected, press the Flash button (or equivalent) on your analog phone. You should hear a new dial tone.
  3. Dial the second party's number.
  4. Once the second party answers, press the Flash button again to join all three parties into a conference call.
