Introduction

Setup
1. Battery Installation
The ThermoPro TP55 requires two (2) AA batteries for operation. These are typically included with your purchase.
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the unit.
- Open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert two (2) AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
2. Placement Options
The TP55 offers flexible placement to suit your needs:
- Tabletop: Utilize the integrated durable kickstand on the back of the unit to place it on any flat surface, such as a desk, shelf, or nightstand.
- Wall Mount: Use the hanging hole located on the back of the unit to mount it securely on a wall using a nail or screw (not included).
- Magnetic Attachment: The unit features strong magnets on its back, allowing it to be conveniently attached to metal surfaces like refrigerators or metal cabinets.

Operating Instructions
1. Display Overview
The large LCD display provides clear readings for humidity and temperature, along with additional indicators:
- Humidity: Shown as a percentage (%) at the top of the display. Includes Max/Min Humidity records for 24 hours and all time.
- Temperature: Shown in degrees Fahrenheit (°F) or Celsius (°C) at the bottom of the display. Includes Max/Min Temperature records for 24 hours and all time.
- Comfort Level Indicator: Icons (DRY, COMFORT, WET) visually represent the current humidity level.
- DRY: Humidity < 30%
- COMFORT: 30% < Humidity < 60%
- WET: Humidity > 60%
- Trend Indicators: Arrows indicate whether temperature and humidity are rising, falling, or remaining constant.

2. Changing Temperature Units (°F/°C)
To switch between Fahrenheit (°F) and Celsius (°C), simply touch the "F/°C" button located on the lower left of the touchscreen display.
3. Max/Min Records
The device tracks the highest and lowest temperature and humidity readings. To view these records:
- Touch the "ALL TIME / 24 HRS" button on the lower right of the touchscreen display.
- Each touch will toggle between the maximum/minimum records for the last 24 hours and the all-time maximum/minimum records since the last reset or battery installation.
4. Backlight Operation
To activate the backlight for improved visibility in dim environments:
- Touch the light bulb icon button in the center of the bottom row on the touchscreen display.
- The backlight will illuminate for a few seconds and then automatically turn off to conserve battery life.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the unit in water.
- Battery Replacement: Replace the two (2) AA batteries when the low battery indicator appears on the display to ensure continuous and accurate readings.
- Storage: If storing the unit for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage and damage.
Troubleshooting
- No Display or Faint Display:
- Check if the batteries are installed correctly with the correct polarity.
- Replace the batteries with new AA batteries.
- Inaccurate Readings:
- Ensure the unit is placed away from direct sunlight, heat sources (like vents or appliances), and extreme drafts, as these can affect accuracy.
- Allow the unit to stabilize for at least 30 minutes after initial setup or relocation to a new environment.
