3. Setup

3.1. Battery Installation

  1. Ensure the PSP is powered off.
  2. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the console.
  3. Slide the battery cover latch to open the compartment.

  1. Locate the Memory Stick slot on the left side of the PSP.
  2. Insert a Memory Stick Duo or Memory Stick PRO Duo with the label facing the front of the PSP until it clicks.
  3. To remove, push the Memory Stick in slightly until it ejects.

4.4. Connecting to Wi-Fi

The PSP 3000 supports Wi-Fi connectivity for online gaming and internet browsing. Note that it primarily supports older Wi-Fi security protocols (WEP, WPA-PSK (TKIP)), which may not be compatible with modern routers using WPA2/WPA3 (AES) by default.

  1. From the XMB menu, navigate to Settings > Network Settings.
  2. Select Infrastructure Mode.
  3. Choose New Connection and follow the on-screen instructions to scan for access points and enter network details.
