Setup
Battery Installation
The Lavatools KT1 timer requires one AAA battery (included). To install or replace the battery:
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the timer.
- Slide the cover downwards to open the compartment.
- Insert one AAA battery, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings inside the compartment.
- Slide the battery compartment cover back into place until it clicks securely.

Operating Instructions
Timer Mode (Countdown)
To set and start a countdown timer:
- Press the M button to set the desired minutes. Hold to advance rapidly.
- Press the S button to set the desired seconds. Hold to advance rapidly.
- To clear the current setting, press both M and S buttons simultaneously. The display will show 00:00.
- Press the START/STOP button to begin the countdown.
- To pause the countdown, press START/STOP again. Press it once more to resume.
- When the timer reaches 00:00, a loud alarm will sound for 60 seconds. Press any button to stop the alarm.
Stopwatch Mode (Count-up)
To use the stopwatch function:
- Ensure the display shows 00:00. If not, press M and S simultaneously to clear any previous timer setting.
- Press the START/STOP button to begin counting up.
- To pause the stopwatch, press START/STOP again. Press it once more to resume.
- To reset the stopwatch to 00:00, pause the count-up and then press M and S simultaneously.
Alarm Function
The KT1 features a super loud beeper alarm designed to be heard even from another room. The alarm will sound for 60 seconds when the countdown timer reaches zero. Press any button to silence the alarm.
Mounting Options
The Lavatools KT1 offers versatile mounting options for convenience:
- Magnetic Back: Two strong magnets on the back allow you to attach the timer securely to metal surfaces like refrigerators, ovens, or whiteboards.
