4. Installation Instructions
Follow these steps for secure installation of your Spartan Mounts AR-10 Rifle Mount:
- Select Mounting Location: Choose a suitable wall location, ensuring it is away from unauthorized access, especially by minors. Consider mounting to a wall stud for maximum security.
- Position the Mount: Hold the mount against the wall at the desired height and orientation. Use a level to ensure it is straight.
- Mark Drill Holes: Use a pencil to mark the locations for the mounting screws through the pre-drilled holes on the mount.
- Drill Pilot Holes: Using an appropriate drill bit (refer to wall anchor instructions for recommended size), drill pilot holes at the marked locations. If drilling into a stud, a smaller pilot hole may be sufficient.
- Insert Wall Anchors (if needed): If not mounting into a stud, gently tap the provided wall anchors into the pilot holes until flush with the wall surface.
- Attach the Mount: Align the mount with the drilled holes/anchors. Insert the screws through the mount and tighten them securely. Do not overtighten, as this can damage the mount or the wall.

- Mounting the Rifle: Ensure the rifle is unloaded and safe. Align the magazine well of your AR-10 with the mount. Insert the mount into the magazine well until it latches securely. You should hear or feel a click.
- Securing the Rifle: For additional security, utilize the integrated hole on the mount to pass a standard cable lock through, securing the rifle to the mount.
- Removing the Rifle: To remove the rifle, disengage the magazine release button on your AR-10. While holding the magazine release, gently pull the rifle upwards and away from the mount.
