2. Setup

Follow these steps to connect your CHERRY G80-3000 keyboard to your computer.

2.1 USB Connection

2.2 PS/2 Connection (with Adapter)

For systems requiring PS/2 connectivity or to enable Codeset 3 support and full N-Key Rollover (NKRO), use the included USB to PS/2 adapter.

  1. Ensure your computer is powered off before connecting the PS/2 adapter.
  2. Connect the USB Type-A connector of the keyboard cable into the green PS/2 adapter.
  3. Insert the PS/2 connector of the adapter into the green PS/2 keyboard port on your computer.
  4. Power on your computer. The keyboard should be recognized.

3. Operating the Keyboard

The CHERRY G80-3000 keyboard features a standard 104-key QWERTY layout, providing all essential keys for typing and data entry.

3.1 Basic Functions

  • Typing: Press the desired keys to input characters.

3.2 N-Key Rollover (NKRO)

  • When connected via USB, the keyboard supports 6-Key Rollover (6KRO), meaning up to 6 keys can be pressed simultaneously and registered correctly.
  • When connected via PS/2 adapter, the keyboard supports full N-Key Rollover (NKRO), allowing all keys to be pressed simultaneously and registered correctly.
