1. Safety Information

3. Setup and Assembly

This section details how to assemble and prepare your Earthwise CVP41810 multi-tool for use. Ensure the tool is disconnected from the power source before assembly.

3.1 Attaching the Attachments (Hedge Trimmer / Chainsaw)

1. Identify the desired attachment (hedge trimmer or chainsaw).
2. Align the attachment with the main motor unit.
3. Slide the attachment onto the motor unit until it clicks securely into place. Ensure it is firmly seated.

3.2 Assembling the Pole (for Pole Hedge Trimmer / Pole Saw)

1. Attach the desired cutting head (hedge trimmer or chainsaw) to the upper pole section.
2. Connect the upper pole section to the lower pole section. Ensure the connection is secure.
3. Attach the assembled pole to the rear handle motor unit.
4. Adjust the pole length by twisting the green collar and extending or retracting the pole to the desired length. Securely tighten the collar.
5. Attach the shoulder strap for improved balance and reduced fatigue during extended use.

3.3 Connecting to Power

• Ensure the tool's power switch is in the OFF position.
• Connect a suitable outdoor-rated extension cord to the tool's power cord.
• To prevent accidental disconnection, loop the extension cord through the handle of the tool before plugging it in.
• Plug the extension cord into a grounded electrical outlet.

4.2 Using the Pole Hedge Trimmer

• Assemble the tool in the pole hedge trimmer configuration as described in Section 3.2.
• Adjust the pole length to reach the desired height, up to 8.8 feet.
• Use the shoulder strap for balance.
• Guide the trimmer head to cut high hedges or shrubs. The head can be adjusted to different angles for optimal cutting.

4.3 Using the Chainsaw (Handheld)

• Ensure the chainsaw attachment is securely fastened to the main motor unit.
• Check the oil reservoir for the automatic oiling system and fill with appropriate bar and chain oil (sold separately) if needed.
• Hold the chainsaw firmly with both hands.
• Start the tool and carefully guide the 10-inch bar and chain to cut branches.
• The chainsaw has a chain brake feature for safety.

4.4 Using the Pole Saw

• Assemble the tool in the pole saw configuration as described in Section 3.2.
• Adjust the pole length to reach the desired branch, up to 8 feet.
• Ensure the oil reservoir is filled for the automatic oiling system.
• The chainsaw head can be rotated to 5 different positions to achieve the best cutting angle for overhead branches.
• Use the shoulder strap for stability and control.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Earthwise CVP41810 multi-tool.

5.1 Cleaning
