Setup
- Unpack: Carefully remove the humidifier from its packaging. Retain packaging for storage or transport.
- Placement: Place the unit on a flat, stable, and waterproof surface at least 6 inches (15 cm) away from walls and furniture. Ensure the mist outlet is not directed at walls or electronic devices.
- Fill Water Tank:
- Remove the water tank from the base.
- Unscrew the tank cap at the bottom of the tank.
- Fill the tank with clean, cool tap water. Distilled or demineralized water is recommended to prevent mineral buildup. Do not fill with hot water.
- Securely screw the tank cap back on.
- Place the filled water tank back onto the humidifier base, ensuring it is seated correctly.
- Connect Power: Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet. The unit will enter standby mode.
Operating Instructions
The Solac HU1059 features electronic touch controls for easy operation.
- Power On/Off: Touch the power icon on the control panel to turn the humidifier on or off. The unit will start operating at the lowest mist intensity.
- Adjust Mist Intensity: Repeatedly touch the mist intensity icon to cycle through the three available levels (Low, Medium, High). The indicator lights will show the selected intensity.
- Automatic Shut-off: The humidifier is equipped with a safety feature that automatically turns off the unit when the water tank is empty. A red indicator light may illuminate to signal low water. Refill the tank to resume operation.
Maintenance
Regular cleaning is essential to ensure optimal performance and hygiene of your humidifier.
Daily Maintenance:
- Unplug the unit.
- Empty any remaining water from the tank and base.
- Rinse the water tank and base with fresh water.
- Wipe dry with a clean cloth.
- Refill with fresh water before next use.
Weekly Maintenance (or more often with hard water):
- Descaling the Nebulizer and Water Tank:
- Unplug the humidifier.
- Remove the water tank.
- Pour 1 cup (250 ml) of undiluted white vinegar into the water tank and into the base reservoir, ensuring it covers the nebulizer.
- Let it soak for 20-30 minutes.
- Use a soft brush or cloth to gently clean the nebulizer and the inside of the tank to remove mineral deposits.
- Rinse both the tank and base thoroughly with clean water until the vinegar smell is gone.
- Cleaning the Air Filter (if applicable): Refer to the product diagram for filter location. Clean with a soft brush or vacuum.
Storage:
- Before storing, ensure the unit is completely clean and dry.
- Store in a cool, dry place, preferably in its original packaging.
