2. Initial Setup
2.1 Power Connection
- Unpack the Axess CKRD3801 unit and place it on a stable, flat surface.
- Locate the AC power cord attached to the unit.
- Plug the AC power cord into a standard 120V AC wall outlet. The LED display will illuminate, and the clock will be ready for time setting.
2.2 Battery Backup Installation
For uninterrupted timekeeping and alarm functionality during power outages, install two AAA batteries (not included) as backup power.
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the unit.
- Remove the battery compartment cover.
- Insert two new AAA batteries, ensuring the correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Replace the battery compartment cover securely.

3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Setting the Time
- Press and hold the TIME MEM button until the display flashes.
- Press the TUN HOUR button to adjust the hour. Observe the PM indicator for correct AM/PM setting.
- Press the TUN MIN button to adjust the minute.
- Press the TIME MEM button again to confirm and save the time.
3.2 Setting Alarms (Alarm 1 & Alarm 2)
The CKRD3801 features two independent alarms.
- Press and hold the ALM 1 button (for Alarm 1) or ALM 2 button (for Alarm 2) until the display flashes.
- Press the TUN HOUR button to set the desired alarm hour.
- Press the TUN MIN button to set the desired alarm minute.
- Press the respective ALM 1 or ALM 2 button again to confirm the alarm time.
- To activate the alarm, press the AM/FM AL OFF button repeatedly until the desired alarm source (Buzzer or Radio) is displayed next to the alarm indicator. To turn off the alarm, select 'OFF'.
3.3 Using the AM/FM Radio
- Press the AM/FM AL OFF button to cycle through modes until 'AM' or 'FM' is displayed.
- Press the TUN HOUR or TUN MIN buttons to manually tune to a desired frequency. Press and hold these buttons for automatic scanning.
- Adjust the volume using the VOL - and VOL + buttons.
- For optimal FM reception, extend the built-in wire antenna fully. For AM reception, rotate the unit for best signal.
3.4 Snooze and Sleep Functions
- Snooze: When an alarm sounds, press the large SNOOZE button to temporarily silence the alarm for approximately 9 minutes. The alarm will sound again after this period.
- Sleep: To fall asleep to the radio, press the SLEEP button. Each press cycles through preset sleep times (e.g., 90, 60, 30, 15 minutes, OFF). The radio will automatically turn off after the selected duration.

4. Care and Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the finish.
