3. Setup and Installation
3.1 Power Supply
The programmer requires a 230 VAC, 50 Hz input transformer (included) which outputs 24 VAC, 0.650A. Additionally, 2 AA alkaline batteries (not included) are required for memory backup and display operation during power outages.
3.2 Wiring Connections
Open the battery compartment cover to access the wiring terminals. Connect your solenoid valves, master valve (if applicable), and rain sensor to the appropriate terminals as indicated on the unit.
- 24VAC: Connect the transformer output.
- SENSER: Connect an optional rain sensor.
- C (Common): Connect the common wire from all solenoid valves.
- M (Master Valve): Connect the master valve, if used.
- 1, 2, 3, 4: Connect individual zone solenoid valves.

3.3 Mounting

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Control Panel Overview
- LCD Display: Shows current time, program settings, and status.

4.2 Initial Setup: Setting Current Time and Date
- Turn the rotary dial to SET CLOCK.
- Use the + or - buttons to set the current hour. Press ENTER.
- Set the current minute. Press ENTER.
- Set the current day of the week. Press ENTER.
- Turn the dial to ON to save settings and return to normal operation.
4.3 Programming Irrigation Schedules (Program A/B)
The programmer allows for two independent programs, A and B. Each program can have up to 4 start times.
- Press the PROG A/B button to select either Program A or Program B. The selected program will be displayed on the LCD.
- Turn the rotary dial to START TIME.
- Use + or - to set the first start time. Press ENTER.
- Repeat for up to 4 start times. If fewer than 4 are needed, press ENTER to skip remaining start times.
- Turn the rotary dial to HOW LONG.
- Use + or - to set the watering duration for each zone (from 1 to 240 minutes). Use the < or > buttons to select the zone (1-4) you wish to set. Press ENTER after setting each zone's duration.
- Turn the rotary dial to HOW OFTEN.
- Select the watering frequency:
- Specific Days: Use < or > to select days of the week (e.g., MO, TU, WE). Press ENTER to select/deselect.
- Every X Days: Select this option and use + or - to set the interval (e.g., every 2 days).
- Odd/Even Days: Select to water on odd or even calendar days.
- Turn the dial to ON to activate the program.
4.4 Manual Watering
To initiate manual watering:
- Ensure the rotary dial is set to ON.
- Press the MANUAL button.
- Use + or - to set the desired manual watering duration.
- Press ENTER to start manual watering. The display will show the remaining time.
- To stop manual watering, press CLEAR or turn the dial to OFF and then back to ON.
4.5 Rain Delay Function
To temporarily suspend watering:
- Ensure the rotary dial is set to ON.
- Press the RAIN DELAY button.
- Use + or - to select the delay duration (0, 24, 48, or 72 hours).
- Press ENTER to activate the rain delay. The display will show the remaining delay time.
- To cancel the rain delay, press RAIN DELAY again and set the duration to 0, then press ENTER.
4.6 Turning Off the Programmer
To completely stop all automatic watering, turn the rotary dial to OFF. To resume, turn the dial back to ON.
5. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the unit in water.
- Battery Replacement: Replace the 2 AA alkaline batteries annually or when the low battery indicator appears on the LCD to ensure program memory retention during power outages.
- Winterization: In freezing climates, disconnect the programmer from the power supply and remove it from its outdoor location. Store it indoors in a dry, frost-free environment.
