Setup

Powering the Unit

Your boombox can be powered using the included AC power cable or by batteries for portable use.

AC Power Operation:
  1. Ensure the unit is turned off.
  2. Insert the small end of the AC power cable into the DC IN jack located on the back of the boombox.
  3. Plug the other end of the AC power cable into a standard wall outlet (AC 120V ~ 60Hz).
Battery Power Operation:

For portable use, the boombox requires 6 'C' size batteries (not included).

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the bottom of the unit.
  2. Open the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert 6 'C' size batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Note: When the AC power cable is connected, battery power is automatically disconnected. Remove batteries if the unit will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.

Operating Instructions

CD Player Operation

  1. Press the POWER button to turn on the unit.
  2. Press the FUNCTION button repeatedly to select CD mode. The display will show "CD".
  3. Open the CD compartment door by gently lifting the lid.
  4. Place a CD with the label side facing up onto the spindle.
  5. Close the CD compartment door. The CD will begin to spin and play automatically.
  6. Use the PLAY/PAUSE button to pause or resume playback.
  7. Use the SKIP/SEARCH buttons (◀◀ / ▶▶) to skip tracks or fast forward/rewind within a track.
  8. Adjust the volume using the VOLUME knob.

AM/FM Radio Operation

  1. Press the POWER button to turn on the unit.
  2. Press the FUNCTION button repeatedly to select FM or AM radio mode.
  3. Extend the FM wire antenna for optimal FM reception. For AM reception, rotate the unit for best signal.
  4. Rotate the TUNING knob to manually tune to your desired radio station.
  5. Adjust the volume using the VOLUME knob.

Bluetooth Operation

  1. Press the POWER button to turn on the unit.
  2. Press the FUNCTION button repeatedly to select Bluetooth mode. The display will show "BT" and flash, indicating it is in pairing mode.
  3. Enable Bluetooth on your mobile device (smartphone, tablet, etc.) and search for available devices.
  4. Select "GPX BCB117B" from the list of found devices.
  5. Once paired, the "BT" indicator on the boombox will stop flashing and remain solid. You can now stream audio wirelessly from your device to the boombox.
  6. Control playback (play/pause, skip tracks) directly from your Bluetooth device or using the boombox's controls.
  7. Adjust the volume using the VOLUME knob on the boombox or your connected device.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Unit

  • Before cleaning, ensure the unit is powered off and unplugged from the AC outlet.
  • Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces of the boombox.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents as they may damage the finish.
  • For the CD lens, use a specialized CD lens cleaner disc. Do not touch the lens directly.

Battery Care
