Setup

1. Unpacking

Carefully remove the lantern from its packaging. Inspect the product for any signs of damage. If any damage is found, do not use the product and contact your retailer.

2. Battery Installation

The lantern requires 3 x C 1.5V batteries (not included).

1. Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the lantern's base.
2. Open the battery compartment cover by releasing the clip closure. No tools are required.
3. Insert 3 C 1.5V batteries, ensuring that the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals match the markings inside the compartment.
4. Securely close the battery compartment cover until the clip engages.

Operating Instructions

Powering On and Timer Function

The lantern is equipped with a power switch, typically located on the base, which offers multiple settings:

• OFF: Turns the lantern completely off.
• ON: Activates the lantern for continuous illumination and glitter swirling.
• TIMER: Engages the built-in 5-hour timer function. When set to 'TIMER', the lantern will illuminate for 5 hours, then automatically turn off for 19 hours. This cycle will repeat daily from the time you first activate the timer.

Once powered on (either 'ON' or 'TIMER' mode), the warm white LEDs will light up the Dickensian carol singers scene, and the internal motor will begin to swirl the glitter within the water, creating a dynamic snow shower effect.

Maintenance

Cleaning

To clean the lantern, gently wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or excessive moisture, as this may damage the finish or internal components. Ensure the lantern is switched off and batteries are removed before cleaning.

Battery Replacement

The batteries provide approximately 80 hours of use. Replace the batteries when the LED light dims significantly or the glitter swirling mechanism weakens. Follow the battery installation steps outlined in the 'Setup' section to replace the 3 x C 1.5V batteries.

Storage

When storing the lantern for an extended period, ensure the batteries are removed to prevent potential leakage and damage. Store the lantern in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

Troubleshooting

• Lantern does not light up or glitter does not swirl:
  • Check if the power switch is set to 'ON' or 'TIMER'.

• Light is dim or glitter swirling is weak:
  • This indicates low battery power. Replace all 3 C batteries.
