Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the record player from its packaging. Ensure all components, including the power adapter and 45 RPM adapter, are present.
  2. Placement: Place the record player on a flat, stable surface away from direct sunlight, heat sources, or excessive dust. The sound-isolating feet help minimize vibration.
  3. Power Connection: Connect the power adapter to the DC IN port on the back of the unit and plug it into a wall outlet.
  4. Remove Needle Guard: Before first use, gently remove the white needle guard from the stylus.
  5. Tone Arm Release: Release the clip that secures the tone arm during transport.

Operating Instructions

Playing a Vinyl Record

  1. Power On: Turn the POWER/VOLUME knob clockwise to turn on the unit. The power indicator light will illuminate.
  2. Select Mode: Set the FUNCTION switch to PHONO.
  3. Place Record: Place a vinyl record on the turntable platter. If playing a 45 RPM single, place the included 45 RPM adapter on the center spindle.
  4. Select Speed: Slide the SPEED switch to the appropriate speed (33 1/3, 45, or 78 RPM) for your record.
  5. Start Playback: Gently lift the tone arm using the tone arm lift lever and move it over the desired track on the record. Lower the tone arm slowly onto the record. The record will begin playing.
  6. Adjust Volume: Adjust the volume using the POWER/VOLUME knob.
  7. Auto-Stop: If the AUTO STOP switch is set to ON, the turntable will stop spinning automatically when the record finishes. If set to OFF, it will continue to spin.
  8. End Playback: When the record finishes, lift the tone arm, return it to the tone arm rest, and secure it with the clip. Turn the POWER/VOLUME knob counter-clockwise to turn off the unit.

Bluetooth Connectivity

  1. Select Mode: Turn the POWER/VOLUME knob clockwise to power on the unit. Set the FUNCTION switch to BT (Bluetooth). The Bluetooth indicator light will flash.
  2. Pairing: Enable Bluetooth on your external device (e.g., smartphone, tablet) and search for "Victrola Journey". Select it to pair.
  3. Playback: Once paired, the Bluetooth indicator light will stop flashing. You can now play music from your device through the record player's built-in speakers.

External Connections

  • RCA Output: Connect external powered speakers to the RCA OUT ports on the back of the unit using an RCA cable (not included) for amplified sound.
  • Headphone Jack: Plug headphones into the HEADPHONE jack for private listening. The built-in speakers will be muted when headphones are connected.
  • Aux-In: Connect non-Bluetooth audio devices to the LINE IN port using a 3.5mm audio cable (not included). Set the FUNCTION switch to LINE IN.

Maintenance
