- Follow the numbered threading path indicated on the machine, ensuring the thread passes through the tension discs and takes up lever.
- Thread the needle from front to back. The built-in needle threader can assist with this step.
3.4 Inserting the Bobbin (Lower Thread)
- Open the bobbin cover plate.
- Insert the wound bobbin into the bobbin case with the thread unwinding counter-clockwise.
- Guide the thread through the tension spring and into the thread guide slot.
- Close the bobbin cover plate.
- Turn the handwheel towards you to lower and raise the needle, catching the bobbin thread. Pull both threads to the back under the presser foot.

- To finish a seam, press the reverse stitch lever (if applicable) for a few stitches to secure the seam, then raise the needle and presser foot.
- Pull the fabric away from the machine and cut the threads using the thread cutter.
