4. Operation
4.1 SDS1052DL+ Oscilloscope Operation
The SDS1052DL+ features a high-resolution LCD display and intuitive controls for signal analysis.
- Vertical Controls: Adjust voltage per division (V/div) and vertical position for each channel.
- Horizontal Controls: Adjust time per division (s/div) and horizontal position.
- Trigger System: Use the trigger controls to stabilize waveforms. Adjust trigger level, mode (Auto, Normal, Single), and source.
- Measurements: Access automatic measurements (e.g., Vpp, Vrms, Frequency, Period) via the "Measure" menu. Cursors are available for manual measurements.
- Math Functions: The oscilloscope includes math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) for frequency domain analysis.
- Connectivity: Utilize the USB host port for saving waveforms and screenshots, and the LAN interface for remote control and data transfer.

4.2 SDG1032X Function Generator Operation
The SDG1032X offers versatile waveform generation capabilities up to 30 MHz.
- Waveform Selection: Choose from standard waveforms (sine, square, ramp, pulse, noise) and arbitrary waveforms.
- Frequency Setting: Use the keypad or rotary knob to set the output frequency. Square waves can be generated up to 30 MHz.
- Amplitude and Offset: Adjust the peak-to-peak amplitude and DC offset of the output signal.
- Modulation: Supports various modulation types including AM, FM, PM, FSK, and ASK.
- Dual Channel Output: Both CH1 and CH2 can operate independently or be linked. Phase offset between channels is adjustable.
- Sweep and Burst Modes: Configure sweep functions for frequency or amplitude, and burst modes for generating a specific number of cycles.
- Harmonics Generation: Utilize the harmonics generation mode for specific testing requirements.

5. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the instrument's exterior. For stubborn dirt, a lightly dampened cloth with mild detergent may be used. Ensure no liquid enters the instrument.
- Storage: Store the instruments in a dry, dust-free environment away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Calibration: Periodic calibration by qualified service personnel is recommended to maintain measurement accuracy.
- Software Updates: Check the manufacturer's website for firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and access to new features.
6. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter.
- Instrument Does Not Power On:
- Verify the power cord is securely connected to both the instrument and the power outlet.
- Check the power outlet for functionality.
- Ensure the power switch is in the "On" position.
- SDS1052DL+ Stuck on Logo Screen:
- Disconnect the power cord for at least one minute, then reconnect and attempt to power on again.
- If the issue persists, contact Siglent customer support.
- Unstable Waveform Display on SDS1052DL+:
- Adjust the trigger level and trigger mode (e.g., to "Auto" or "Normal").
- Ensure probes are properly compensated and securely connected.
