4.1. Mixer Components

5. Setup

  1. Power Connection: Connect the supplied AC adapter to the mixer's power input and then to a suitable 220V power outlet. Ensure the mixer's ON/OFF switch is in the OFF position before connecting.
  2. Audio Source Connection:
    • Phono/Turntables: Connect your turntables to the RCA PHONO inputs on the rear panel. If connecting turntables, ensure the ground wire from the turntable is connected to the mixer's ground terminal.
    • Line Devices: Connect CD players, media players, or other line-level devices to the RCA LINE inputs on the rear panel.
    • USB Drive: Insert a USB stick containing MP3 files into the top-mounted USB port.
  3. Microphone Connection: Connect the dynamic microphone using the XLR cable to one of the 6.35mm MIC jack inputs on the front panel.
  4. Headphone Connection: Plug the DJ headphones into the 6.35mm HEADPHONE output on the front panel.

6. Operating Instructions

  1. Power On: After all connections are made, switch the mixer's ON/OFF button to the ON position.
  2. USB MP3 Player Operation:
    • Select the USB input for the desired channel using the input selector switch.
    • Use the Play/Pause, Fast Forward, and Rewind buttons next to the digital display to control MP3 playback.
    • The digital display will show track information.
  3. Mixing Channels:
    • Select the desired input (Phono, Line, or USB) for each channel using its respective selector switch.
    • Adjust the individual channel volume faders to control the level of each audio source.
    • Use the crossfader to smoothly blend between channels.
  4. Headphone Monitoring (Pre-listening):
    • Activate the pre-listen function for a channel to monitor its audio through the headphones without sending it to the main output.
    • Adjust the headphone volume control to a comfortable listening level.
  5. Microphone Usage:
    • Ensure the microphone is connected and its ON/OFF switch is in the ON position.
    • Adjust the microphone volume control on the mixer.
    • Talkover Function: When activated, the Talkover function automatically attenuates the music volume by -12 dB when the microphone is used, making announcements clearer.
  6. Output Level Monitoring: Observe the 10-LED output level indicator to ensure your master output level is not clipping (distorting).
  7. Stereo/Mono Switch: Use this switch to change the main output between stereo and mono modes as needed.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Regularly wipe the mixer's surface with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the equipment in a clean, dry environment, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

  • No Sound Output:
