Setup

1. Battery Installation

The Sony ICD-PX370 requires two AAA (LR03) alkaline batteries. These are typically included in the product package.

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the device.
  2. Slide the cover open.
  3. Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and - ends match the indicators inside the compartment).
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

2. Initial Setup (Date/Time, Language)

  2. Use the PLAY/STOP button (center button) to confirm selections and the BACK button to return to the previous screen.

Operating Instructions

1. Recording Audio

  1. Ensure the device is powered on.
  2. Press the REC/PAUSE button (red button) to start recording. The REC indicator will light up.
  3. To pause recording, press REC/PAUSE again. The REC indicator will flash. Press again to resume.
  4. To stop recording, press the STOP button (square button). The recording will be saved automatically.

2. Playback

  1. From the STOP mode, press the PLAY/STOP button (center button) to start playback of the last recorded file.
  2. Use the VOLUME +/- buttons on the side to adjust the playback volume.
  3. To skip forward/backward through files, use the FAST FORWARD/REWIND buttons (arrow buttons).
  4. To stop playback, press the STOP button.

3. File Management (Transfer to PC, MicroSD)

The device features a built-in USB connector for direct transfer of files to a computer.

  1. Slide the USB slider on the back of the device to extend the USB connector.
  2. Plug the device directly into a USB port on your computer.
  3. The device will appear as a removable drive on your computer. You can then drag and drop files to transfer them.
  4. To use a microSD card, open the microSD slot cover on the side and insert the card. Files can be moved between internal memory and the microSD card via the device's menu or when connected to a computer.

4. Settings (Recording Mode, Scene Select)

    • Recording Settings: Adjust recording quality (MP3 48kbps, 128kbps, 192kbps). Higher quality uses more memory.

    • Common Settings: Adjust beep sounds, LED indicators, date/time, and auto power off.

  • Device does not power on: Check if batteries are inserted correctly and are not depleted. Replace with new batteries if necessary.
  • Poor recording quality:
    • Ensure the microphone is not obstructed.
    • Adjust "Scene Select" settings to match your recording environment.

  • Cannot transfer files to computer:
