Setup
1. Charging the Device
Before first use, ensure the scanner is fully charged. Use the provided wireless charging pad and USB cable.
- Connect the USB charging cable to the wireless charging pad and a power source (e.g., computer USB port or USB wall adapter).
- Place the GS R5000BT scanner onto the designated area of the wireless charging pad. Ensure proper alignment for charging to begin.
- The indicator light on the scanner will show charging status (refer to LED indicator section for details, if applicable). A full charge typically takes approximately 2-3 hours.

2. Bluetooth Pairing
The GS R5000BT connects to your host device via Bluetooth.
- Turn on the GS R5000BT scanner. (Refer to the device for power button location, typically a small button on the side).
- Put the scanner into pairing mode. This usually involves pressing and holding the power/function button until the indicator light flashes rapidly (e.g., blue light).
- On your host device (smartphone, tablet, PC), go to Bluetooth settings and enable Bluetooth.
- Search for available devices. The scanner should appear as "GS R5000BT" or similar.
- Select the scanner from the list to initiate pairing. If prompted for a PIN, enter "0000" or "1234" (consult specific device documentation if these do not work).
- Once paired, the scanner's indicator light will change (e.g., solid blue) and a confirmation sound may be heard.

The scanner is designed to be worn on your finger for hands-free operation. Adjust the strap for a comfortable and secure fit.
Scanning Barcodes
To scan a barcode:
- Ensure the scanner is powered on and successfully paired with your host device.
- Point the scanning window of the GS R5000BT directly at the barcode you wish to scan.
- Press the trigger button (typically located on the side or top of the ring). A red aiming beam will appear.
- Position the aiming beam to cover the entire barcode.
- Upon a successful read, the scanner will vibrate and the data will be transmitted to your connected device.

Connecting to Different Devices
The GS R5000BT supports various operating systems:
- Windows: Pair via Bluetooth settings. The scanner will function as a keyboard wedge, inputting scanned data directly into any active text field.
- iOS (iPhone/iPad): Pair via Bluetooth settings. Data will be input into text fields. Ensure the virtual keyboard appears when needed by tapping the text field.
- Android: Pair via Bluetooth settings. Similar to Windows, data will be input into active text fields.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to clean the scanner's exterior. For the scanning window, use a lens cleaning cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the scanner in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures when not in use.
- Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. If storing for a long period, charge the battery to about 50% every few months.
Troubleshooting
