2. Setup and Installation

The installation of this gas hob must be carried out by a qualified and registered gas installer, in compliance with all relevant national and local regulations.

2.1 Unpacking

2.2 Dimensions and Cut-out

The hob is designed for drop-in installation into a countertop. Ensure the countertop material is heat-resistant.

Refer to the installation template (if provided with the product) for precise cut-out dimensions. Maintain adequate clearance from adjacent walls and cabinets.

2.3 Gas Connection

This appliance is designed for use with natural gas. An LPG conversion kit is included if you need to use Liquefied Petroleum Gas. The gas connection must be performed by a qualified professional.

2.4 Electrical Connection

The hob requires an electrical connection for the push-button ignition system. Connect the appliance to a properly grounded electrical outlet. Power requirements are standard household plug.

3. Operating Instructions

Your Indesit Aria gas hob features four burners with varying power outputs, controlled by easy-to-use rotary dials and a push-button ignition.

3.1 Lighting a Burner

  1. Ensure the pan supports are correctly positioned over the burners.
  2. Place your cookware on the desired burner.
  3. Push and turn the corresponding control knob counter-clockwise to the maximum flame position (large flame symbol).
  4. Simultaneously press the ignition button (usually marked with a spark symbol). You will hear a clicking sound as the igniter sparks.
  5. Once the flame ignites, continue to hold the control knob down for a few seconds (approximately 5-10 seconds) to allow the thermocouple to heat up and activate the flame failure device.
  6. Release the control knob. If the flame goes out, repeat steps 3-5.
