4. Setup

Setting up your Intex airbed is quick and easy thanks to the integrated electric pump.

  1. Unfold the Airbed: Remove the airbed from its duffel bag and spread it out on a clean, flat surface. Ensure there are no sharp objects underneath that could puncture the mattress.
  2. Unfolded Intex airbed on the floor

Lay the airbed flat on a clear surface, ensuring it is fully extended.

  3. Connect to Power: Locate the built-in electric pump on the side of the airbed. Plug the AC power cord into a standard electrical outlet.
  4. Inflate the Airbed: Turn the pump dial to the 'Inflate' position. The pump will begin to inflate the mattress. Inflation times vary by size and desired firmness, but typically take approximately 3-1/2 to 4 minutes for a Queen size.
  5. Person operating the built-in electric pump to inflate the airbed

The built-in pump allows for quick and easy inflation by simply turning a dial.

  6. Adjust Firmness: Once the airbed is mostly inflated, you can adjust the firmness by allowing the pump to continue running until your desired level of comfort is reached. Do not overinflate.
  7. Turn Off Pump: Once inflated, turn the pump dial to the 'Off' position and unplug the power cord.

Note: The pump may generate noise during operation. It is recommended to inflate the airbed in advance, not when guests are ready to sleep.

5. Operating Instructions

Your Intex Comfort Plush Elevated Dura-Beam Airbed is ready for use once inflated. Its elevated height (18 inches from the floor) provides a more traditional bed feel, making it easier to get on and off.

  • Sleeping Surface: The flocked top provides a comfortable and soft sleeping surface.
  • Sheet Compatibility: The Queen size (60 x 18 x 80 inches) is designed to fit standard fitted sheets. Indented sides help keep sheets from slipping.
  • Comfort Adjustment: If the airbed feels too soft or too firm after initial inflation, you can briefly turn on the pump to add or release a small amount of air to achieve your preferred comfort level.

6. Maintenance

Proper maintenance will extend the life of your airbed.

  • Cleaning: Clean the airbed with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Ensure the airbed is completely dry before storing.
  • Air Loss: It is normal for airbeds to lose some air over time due to temperature changes and stretching of the material. You may need to add air after a night or two of use to maintain desired firmness.
  • Patching: In case of a small puncture, use a repair patch kit (not included) to seal the leak. Follow the instructions provided with the patch kit carefully.

7. Storage

To store your airbed, follow these steps:

  1. Deflate the Airbed: Plug in the built-in pump and turn the dial to the 'Deflate' position. The pump will quickly remove air from the mattress. This process also takes only a few minutes.
  2. Fold Compactly: Once fully deflated, carefully fold the airbed to remove any remaining air and make it as compact as possible.
  3. Person folding the deflated Intex airbed
