Familiarize yourself with the physical components of your device. The front features the 5.5-inch display, earpiece, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, front camera, and the integrated fingerprint sensor/home button. The rear houses the dual Leica camera system, LED flash, and the HUAWEI logo. The right side of the device includes the power button and volume rocker.

Setup

1. Inserting SIM and microSD Cards

The HUAWEI P10 Plus supports dual SIM cards and a microSD card for expandable storage. The SIM card tray is located on the side of the device.

1. Locate the SIM card tray on the left side of the phone.
2. Insert the provided SIM eject tool into the small hole next to the tray to open it.
3. Place your Nano-SIM card(s) and/or microSD card into the tray with the gold contacts facing down, ensuring they are correctly aligned.
4. Gently push the tray back into the slot until it clicks into place.

2. Initial Power On and Setup Wizard

1. Press and hold the Power button (located on the right side) until the HUAWEI logo appears.
2. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the initial setup, which includes selecting your language, connecting to Wi-Fi, setting up your Google account, and configuring security features like fingerprint unlock.

3. Charging the Battery

Before first use, it is recommended to fully charge the device battery.

• Connect the charging cable to the USB-C port at the bottom of the phone.
• Connect the other end of the cable to the power adapter.
• Plug the power adapter into a wall outlet.
• The charging indicator will appear on the screen.

• Screen Lock/Unlock: Press the Power button briefly. Use fingerprint, PIN, pattern, or password to unlock.

1. Open the Camera application from the home screen or app drawer.
