4. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your JJC Intervalometer:

1. Insert Batteries: Open the battery compartment and insert 2 AAA Alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
2. Connect to Camera: Plug the 2.5mm connector cable from the intervalometer into your camera's remote socket.
3. Power On: Push the switch on the right side of the remote to "ON" to power it on.
4. Camera Settings: Ensure your camera is set to the appropriate mode (e.g., Manual, Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority, or Bulb mode for long exposures) as required for your desired photography type.

5. Operating Instructions

The intervalometer features four main programmable settings: SELF (delay), BULB (exposure time), INTVL (interval), and NO. (number of shots).

1. Setting Parameters:
   • Use the cursor control buttons (▲ / ▼) to navigate between SELF, BULB, INTVL, and NO. settings.
   • Press the SET button to select a parameter for adjustment.
   • Use the cursor control buttons (◄ / ►) to move between hours, minutes, and seconds.
   • Use the cursor control buttons (▲ / ▼) to adjust the values.
   • Press SET again to confirm the setting.
2. Parameter Definitions:
   • SELF (Delay): The delay time before the first shot is taken (1 second to 99 hours, 59 minutes, 59 seconds).
   • BULB (Exposure Time): The duration of each exposure (1 second to 99 hours, 59 minutes, 59 seconds). This setting is only active if your camera is in Bulb mode.
   • INTVL (Interval Time): The time between the start of one exposure and the start of the next (1 second to 99 hours, 59 minutes, 59 seconds). Important: The interval time must be longer than the exposure time (BULB) as it includes the exposure duration.
   • NO. (Number of Shots): The total number of pictures to be taken (1 to 399, or unlimited).
3. Starting a Sequence:

   After setting all desired parameters, press the START/STOP button to begin the shooting sequence. The display will show the remaining time and shots.

4. Stopping a Sequence:

   To stop an ongoing sequence, press the START/STOP button again.

5. Manual Shutter Release:

   Even without batteries, the intervalometer can function as a basic wired remote shutter release. Half-press the shutter button for autofocus, and fully press it to take a picture. For bulb exposures, slide the shutter release button upwards to lock it, keeping the camera's shutter open until you slide it back down to release.
