Setup

1. Attaching the Neck Strap

Thread the ends of the neck strap through the strap lugs on each side of the binocular body. Secure the strap firmly according to the instructions provided with the strap. Ensure it is securely fastened before use to prevent accidental drops.

2. Adjusting Eyecups

The GPO Passion ED 10x32 binoculars feature multi-position twist-up eyecups.

• For Eyeglass Wearers: Twist the eyecups down completely to their lowest position. This allows your eyes to be at the correct distance from the ocular lenses while wearing glasses.
• For Non-Eyeglass Wearers: Twist the eyecups up until they are fully extended or to an intermediate position that provides a full field of view without vignetting (darkening at the edges).

Operating Instructions

1. Interpupillary Distance Adjustment

The interpupillary distance (IPD) is the distance between the centers of your pupils. To adjust, hold the binoculars with both hands and bend the body at the hinge until you see a single, clear circular field of view. This ensures proper alignment with your eyes.

2. Focusing

Your GPO Passion ED binoculars have a central focus wheel and a diopter adjustment ring for precise focusing.

1. Diopter Adjustment: Look through the binoculars at a distant object. Close your right eye and rotate the central focus wheel until the object viewed through the left barrel is sharp and clear.
2. Now, close your left eye and look through the right barrel. Rotate the diopter adjustment ring (usually located on the right eyepiece) until the object is sharp and clear. Note the setting for future reference.
3. Central Focusing: With both eyes open, use the central focus wheel to bring objects at various distances into sharp focus. Once the diopter is set for your eyes, you will only need to use the central focus wheel for general viewing.

Maintenance and Care

• Waterproof/Fogproof: While waterproof, avoid prolonged submersion. If exposed to water, wipe dry with a soft cloth. Do not attempt to disassemble the binoculars, as this will compromise their waterproof and fogproof integrity.
