1. Introduction and Overview

3. Setup

3.1 Power Connection

Connect the provided power adapter to the DC input port on the back of the alarm clock and then plug it into a standard wall outlet. The display will illuminate.

3.2 Backup Battery Installation

Locate the battery compartment on the bottom or back of the unit. Insert one CR2032 battery, ensuring the correct polarity (+/-). This battery serves as a backup to retain time and alarm settings during a power outage.

3.3 Initial Time Synchronization

Upon initial power-up, the clock will automatically attempt to synchronize its time with the radio-controlled signal. This process may take several minutes. 4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Time Display Format (12/24 Hour)

Press the "TIME SET" button (or similar, refer to physical buttons on your device) to toggle between 12-hour and 24-hour time display formats. In 12-hour format, "AM" or "PM" indicators will appear.

4.2 Setting Alarms (A1, A2)

The clock features two independent alarms, A1 and A2.

  1. Press and hold the "ALARM 1" or "ALARM 2" button until the alarm time flashes on the display.
  2. Use the "HOUR" and "MINUTE" buttons to adjust the desired alarm time.

4.3 Snooze Function

When an alarm sounds, press the "SNOOZE" button (usually a large button on top) to temporarily silence the alarm for approximately 9 minutes. The alarm will sound again after the snooze period. To turn off the alarm completely, press any other button.

4.4 AM/FM Radio Operation

The WT 486 includes an integrated AM/FM radio.

  • Turning On/Off: Press the "RADIO" button to turn the radio on or off.
  • Band Selection: Press the "BAND" button to switch between AM and FM frequencies.

  • Volume Control: Use the "VOL +" and "VOL -" buttons to adjust the volume. There are 16 volume levels.

4.5 Sleep Timer

The sleep timer allows the radio to play for a set duration before automatically turning off.

  1. While the radio is playing, press the "SLEEP" button. The sleep timer duration will appear on the display.
  2. Repeatedly press the "SLEEP" button to cycle through available sleep timer durations (e.g., 10, 20, 30, 60, 90 minutes, or OFF).
  3. The radio will automatically turn off after the selected time. The "SL" indicator on the display will show when the sleep timer is active.

4.6 Display Brightness Adjustment

The display brightness is continuously dimmable. Locate the "DIMMER" dial or button (refer to your device's physical controls). Rotate the dial or press the button repeatedly to adjust the display brightness to your preferred level.
