4. Setup
4.1 Power Connection
- Ensure the keyboard's power switch is in the OFF position.
- Connect the power adapter to the DC IN jack on the rear panel of the keyboard.
- Plug the power adapter into a suitable AC outlet.
- Alternatively, for battery operation, insert six D-size batteries (not included) into the battery compartment on the underside of the keyboard, observing correct polarity.
4.2 Music Stand Attachment
Insert the tabs of the included music stand into the slots located on the top rear of the keyboard. Ensure it is securely seated.
4.3 Connecting Peripherals
The KP-110 offers various connectivity options:
- USB Type B: Connects to a computer for MIDI data transfer. Use a standard USB A-to-B cable.
- Audio Output (L/MONO, R): Connect to an external amplifier, mixer, or recording device using standard 1/4-inch TS cables.
- Headphones: Plug standard stereo headphones into the 1/4-inch stereo headphone jack for private practice.
- Sustain Pedal: Connect an optional sustain pedal to the dedicated 1/4-inch jack.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Basic Operation
- Power On/Off: Press the POWER button to turn the instrument on or off.
- Volume Control: Use the VOLUME knob to adjust the overall output level.
5.2 Sound Selection (Voices)
The KP-110 features hundreds of voices. To select a voice:
- Press the VOICE button.
- Use the numeric keypad or the +/- buttons to enter the desired voice number.
- The selected voice name will appear on the LCD display.

5.3 Accompaniment Styles
The instrument includes over 200 auto-accompaniment patterns. To use them:
- Press the STYLE button.
- Select a style using the numeric keypad or +/- buttons.
- Press START/STOP to begin the accompaniment.
- Play chords with your left hand to control the accompaniment.

5.4 Song Recorder
The KP-110 allows recording of up to 10 user songs with 6 tracks each (1 accompaniment, 5 melody tracks).
- Press the RECORD button to enter recording mode.
- Select a song number and track.
- Press START/STOP to begin recording.
- Press START/STOP again to stop recording.
5.5 Performance Assistant
The Performance Assistant helps generate idiomatic phrases. Activate it by pressing the PERFORMANCE ASSISTANT button and then playing keys to trigger various musical patterns.
5.6 MIDI Connectivity
The USB Type B port enables MIDI communication with a computer. This allows the KP-110 to function as a MIDI controller or to receive MIDI data from software applications like Cakewalk by BandLab.
6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
Wipe the instrument with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed immediately by a dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents.
6.2 Storage
When not in use for extended periods, store the KP-110 in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If using batteries, remove them to prevent leakage.
