Initial Setup Steps

1. Download the TP-Link Deco app from your device's app store (available for iOS and Android).
2. Power off your modem.
3. Connect one Deco M5 unit to your modem using the provided Ethernet cable. This unit will serve as your main router.
4. Plug in the power adapter to the Deco unit and then to a power outlet.
5. Power on your modem.
6. Wait for the Deco unit's LED light to pulse blue, indicating it's ready for setup.
7. Open the Deco app and follow the on-screen instructions to configure your new Wi-Fi network, including setting a network name and password.

Adding Additional Deco Units

Once your main Deco unit is set up, you can easily add the remaining units to expand your whole-home Wi-Fi coverage.

1. Place additional Deco units in areas of your home where Wi-Fi signal is weak or where you desire extended coverage. Ensure they are within range of another Deco unit or your main router.
2. Plug in the power adapter to the additional Deco unit and then to a power outlet.
3. Wait for the Deco unit's LED light to pulse blue.
4. Open the Deco app, navigate to the "Add Another Deco" option, and follow the instructions to integrate the new unit into your existing mesh network.
