Setup
Unpacking and Placement
- Carefully unpack the HA8000 V2 from its packaging.
- Ensure all components listed in the "What's in the Box" section are present (HA8000 unit, power cable).
- Place the unit on a stable, flat surface or install it into a standard 19-inch equipment rack. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.
Power Connection
- Connect the provided power cable to the AC inlet on the rear panel of the HA8000 V2.
- Plug the other end of the power cable into a suitable AC power outlet.
- Ensure the power switch on the front panel is in the "OFF" position before connecting to power.
Audio Connections
The HA8000 V2 offers flexible audio input options:
- Main Inputs: Connect your main stereo audio source (e.g., mixer output, audio interface) to the MAIN INPUTS (L/R) on the rear panel using 1/4" TRS or TS cables. These inputs feed all eight headphone channels.
- Direct Inputs (Per Channel): Each of the eight channels has a dedicated DIRECT INPUT on the rear panel. This allows you to feed a separate, individual audio source directly to that specific headphone channel, bypassing the main inputs. This is useful for creating custom monitor mixes for individual performers.
- Headphone Outputs: Connect headphones to the 1/4" TRS PHONES OUT jacks on the front panel for each channel.

Operating Instructions
Powering On/Off
- To power on, press the POWER switch on the front panel to the "ON" position.
- To power off, press the POWER switch to the "OFF" position.
Main Section Controls
- MAIN INPUT LEVEL (L/R): These controls adjust the overall input level for the main stereo inputs. Monitor the INPUT LEVEL LEDs to ensure optimal signal without clipping.
- PHONES OUT (MAIN): This output provides a master headphone monitoring point for the main stereo input signal.
Individual Channel Controls (Channels 1-8)
- INPUT SELECT (MAIN IN / DIRECT IN): This button selects whether the channel receives its audio from the main stereo inputs or its dedicated direct input. When the button is engaged, the channel uses the direct input. When disengaged, it uses the main input.
- MONO/STEREO: This button switches the channel's output between mono and stereo modes. In mono mode, the left and right signals are summed.
- OUTPUT LEVEL: This knob controls the headphone output volume for the respective channel.
- OUTPUT LEVEL LEDs: These LEDs provide visual feedback on the output level for each channel, helping to prevent clipping and ensure a healthy signal.
- PHONES OUT: 1/4" TRS jack for connecting headphones to the individual channel.
Typical Usage Scenarios
- Studio Monitoring: Connect the main mix from your audio interface or mixer to the HA8000 V2's main inputs. Each musician can then plug into a channel and adjust their individual headphone volume.
- Custom Monitor Mixes: For individual musicians requiring a specific mix (e.g., more vocals, less drums), connect a separate auxiliary send from your mixer to the DIRECT INPUT of their assigned HA8000 V2 channel. They can then switch their channel to "DIRECT IN" and control their personal mix level.
- Live Performance: Use the HA8000 V2 to distribute monitor mixes to multiple performers on stage using in-ear monitors or headphones.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Clean the unit with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
- Ventilation: Ensure that the ventilation openings are not blocked to prevent overheating.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the unit in a dry, dust-free environment.
- Cable Management: Regularly check all audio and power cables for damage. Replace any damaged cables immediately.
