Setup and Installation
Proper installation is crucial for child safety. Refer to your vehicle's owner's manual for specific car seat installation instructions and LATCH system locations.
1. Harnessed Booster Installation (22-65 lbs)
This mode uses the car seat's internal 5-point harness system. Ensure the harness straps are at or slightly above your child's shoulders. Secure the seat using either the vehicle's LATCH system or the vehicle's seat belt, following the instructions provided in the full product manual.

2. High Back Booster Installation (40-120 lbs)
For this mode, the internal harness is removed, and the child is secured using the vehicle's lap and shoulder belt. The vehicle's shoulder belt must pass through the red belt guide on the booster seat's headrest. Adjust the headrest so the shoulder belt guide is positioned correctly for your child.

3. No Back Booster Installation (40-120 lbs)
To convert to a no back booster, remove the backrest of the seat. The child is then secured directly by the vehicle's lap and shoulder belt. Ensure the lap belt fits low across the hips and the shoulder belt crosses the center of the child's shoulder and chest.

Operating Instructions
Adjusting the Headrest and Harness Height
The headrest and harness height can be adjusted simultaneously. Locate the adjustment handle at the top of the headrest. Squeeze the handle and slide the headrest up or down to the desired position. In harnessed mode, ensure the harness straps are at or slightly above your child's shoulders. In high back booster mode, ensure the shoulder belt guide is correctly aligned with your child's shoulder.

Securing Your Child
Always ensure the harness or vehicle seat belt is snug against your child's body, without any slack. The chest clip (in harnessed mode) should be positioned at armpit level. The lap belt should be low on the hips, touching the thighs, and the shoulder belt should cross the center of the shoulder and chest.
Care and Maintenance
Cleaning the Harness
The harness can be wiped clean with mild soap and water. Allow the harness to air dry completely before re-use. Do not machine wash or submerge the harness straps, as this can weaken the material.
Cleaning Fabric Pads
Refer to the care labels on the fabric pads for specific cleaning instructions. Typically, fabric pads are machine washable on a gentle cycle with cold water and mild detergent. Air dry or tumble dry on low heat.
Cleaning Plastic and Metal Parts
Plastic and metal parts can be wiped clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
Troubleshooting
- Harness Covers Missing: If harness covers were not included or are missing, contact Evenflo customer service for assistance. Harness covers are important for comfort and proper fit, especially for smaller children.
- Difficulty Buckling: Ensure both buckle tongues are fully inserted into the buckle receiver until a click is heard. If the buckle is stiff, check for debris and clean as per maintenance instructions.
- Seat Feels Loose After Installation: Re-read the installation instructions carefully. Ensure the LATCH connectors or vehicle seat belt are tightened as much as possible, removing all slack. The car seat should not move more than one inch side-to-side or front-to-back at the belt path.
- Child's Head Slumps Forward: Adjust the recline position of the car seat. Ensure the headrest is properly adjusted to support the child's head.
