4. Installation and Setup

4.1 Mounting the Motor

4.2 Electrical Connection

Connect the motor to a 230V power supply. The motor is supplied with a cable. Ensure all connections are secure and insulated. Refer to the wiring diagram provided with the motor packaging for specific connection details. The cable is detachable for easier maintenance.

4.3 Limit Switch Adjustment

The motor features mechanical limit switches, adjustable via push buttons. An adjustment tool is supplied for accessing these buttons from both sides of the C.S.I. casing.

  1. Power on the motor.
  2. Use the adjustment tool to access the limit switch buttons.
  3. Operate the motor to the desired upper and lower limits.
  4. Press the corresponding limit switch buttons to set the upper and lower stop positions. The cage capacity is 34 turns.
  5. Test the limits to ensure they are correctly set.

4.4 Programming the "My" Position

The motor allows you to program a preferred intermediate position, referred to as the "my" position.

  1. Move the shutter/blind to your desired intermediate position using your RTS remote control.
  2. Press and hold the "my" button on your remote control until the shutter/blind jogs slightly. This saves the position.
  3. To recall this position, simply press the "my" button briefly.

5. Operation

5.1 Remote Control Operation

The motor is operated wirelessly using a compatible Somfy RTS remote control. It can store up to 12 control points or group levels, including 3 RTS sensors.

  • Up Button: Moves the shutter/blind upwards.
  • Down Button: Moves the shutter/blind downwards.
  • "My" Button: Stops the shutter/blind during movement or recalls the programmed "my" intermediate position.

5.2 Emergency Control

In the event of a power failure, the integrated emergency control allows for manual operation of the shutter or blind. This feature ensures you can still raise or lower your covering even without electricity. Consult the specific instructions provided with the motor for details on engaging the emergency control mechanism, typically involving a crank handle connected to the square 6 mm or hexagonal 7 mm shaft.

6. Maintenance
