Setup and Installation

1. Rack Mounting

  1. Identify the desired 2U (two rack units) space in your equipment rack.
  2. Align the mounting ears of the enclosure with the rack rails.
  3. Secure the enclosure to the rack using the provided rack screws, cage nuts, and washers. Ensure all screws are tightened to prevent movement.

2. Installing Adapter Panels or LGX Cassettes

The enclosure features six slots for snap-in installation of fiber adapter panels or LGX cassettes.

  1. Unlock and open the front panel of the enclosure using the provided key.
  2. Gently slide the adapter panel or LGX cassette into an available slot until it snaps securely into place. Ensure the panel is oriented correctly.
  3. Repeat for all desired adapter panels or cassettes.
  4. Once all panels are installed, close and lock the front panel.

Operating Instructions

Once installed and populated with adapter panels, the enclosure serves as a passive component for organizing and protecting fiber optic connections.

Fiber Cable Management

The enclosure provides internal space for fiber slack management and routing. Utilize the internal routing guides and tie-down points to maintain proper bend radius and prevent cable damage.

  • Route incoming and outgoing fiber cables through the designated entry points.
