Setup
Battery Installation
The Nightstick XPP-5420GX requires three (3) AA alkaline batteries (not included) for operation.
- Unscrew the tail cap of the flashlight by turning it counter-clockwise.
- Insert three AA batteries into the battery compartment, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the flashlight.
- Screw the tail cap back on clockwise until it is securely tightened. Overtightening is not necessary but ensure a snug fit to maintain water resistance.
Attaching the Lanyard
The flashlight comes with a removable lanyard for secure carrying.
- Locate the small loop on the tail cap of the flashlight.
- Thread the thin loop end of the lanyard through the loop on the tail cap.
- Pass the larger end of the lanyard (with the wrist strap) through the thin loop you just threaded, and pull to secure.

Operating Instructions
Power On/Off
The Nightstick XPP-5420GX features a single, large textured button for easy operation, even when wearing gloves.
- Momentary On: Lightly press and hold the power button. The flashlight will remain on as long as the button is held. Release the button to turn the flashlight off.
- Constant On/Off: Fully press the power button until it clicks. The flashlight will remain on. Press the button again until it clicks to turn the flashlight off.

Maintenance
Cleaning
