Important Note: This remote control provides on/off functionality for lights and does not support dimming. If your original remote for a Windward II 54-inch Ceiling Fan has a model number starting with "CHQ" (located on the back), you may require the RR7096TR model with a yellow light button, even if your original has a green light button.

1. Battery Installation
- Remove the battery cover located on the back of the remote control. Press firmly below the arrow and slide the cover off.
- Insert four (4) AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Replace the battery cover.

2. Setting the Code (DIP Switches)
The remote control and your ceiling fan receiver must be set to the same code for proper communication. This unit has 16 different code combinations. Ensure your fan is operated in "HIGH SPEED" and the light is in "ON" condition at the switch knob before proceeding.
- Setting the code on the remote:
- With the battery cover removed, locate the DIP switches inside the battery compartment.
- Slide the code switches to your desired up or down position. (Factory setting is all up. Do not use this position unless it matches your receiver.) Use a small screwdriver or a ballpoint pen to firmly slide the switches.
- Replace the battery cover on the transmitter (remote).
- Setting the code on the receiver:
- Locate the receiver unit within your ceiling fan assembly.
- Slide the code switches on the receiver to the exact same positions (up/down) as you set on your remote control.
