To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your remote control, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the remote control. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials, as they may damage the surface or internal components.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the remote's response becomes sluggish or stops working. Always use new AAA batteries and dispose of old batteries responsibly.
  • Storage: Store the remote control in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Avoid Drops: Protect the remote from physical impact, as drops can damage internal circuitry.

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your USARMT XRT122 remote control, refer to the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Remote Not Responding:
    • Ensure the remote has fresh AAA batteries installed correctly (check polarity).
    • Point the remote directly at the TV's infrared sensor.
    • Remove any obstructions between the remote and the TV.
    • Test the remote by pointing it at a digital camera (like a smartphone camera) and pressing a button. If you see a light flash from the remote's IR emitter on the camera screen, the remote is likely transmitting a signal.
  • Specific Buttons Not Working:
    • Check for any debris or stickiness around the button.
    • If only certain buttons fail, the remote might be damaged.
  • TV Not Responding to Hotkeys (XUMO, Netflix, iHeartRadio):
    • Ensure your Vizio Smart TV is connected to the internet.
    • Verify that the respective applications are installed and updated on your TV.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, contact customer support for further assistance.
