3. Setup and Assembly
3.1 Fuel Mixing
This unit requires a mixture of unleaded gasoline and 2-cycle engine oil. Refer to the engine manufacturer's instructions for the correct mixing ratio, typically 50:1 (gasoline to oil). Use fresh, clean, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Use a high-quality 2-cycle engine oil specifically designed for air-cooled engines.
- Obtain a clean, approved fuel container.
- Pour half of the required gasoline into the container.
- Add the entire amount of 2-cycle oil to the gasoline.
- Shake the container vigorously to ensure thorough mixing.
- Add the remaining gasoline and shake again.
- Always mix fuel in a well-ventilated area, away from ignition sources.
3.2 Attaching the Trimmer Head/Edger Attachment
The unit is attachment capable. To attach the string trimmer head or edger attachment:
- Ensure the engine is off and cool.
- Align the shaft of the attachment with the coupler on the main powerhead.
- Push the attachment shaft into the coupler until it clicks into place.
- Tighten the coupling knob securely to prevent rotation during operation.
- To remove, loosen the coupling knob, press the release button, and pull the attachment away.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Starting the Engine
- Fill the fuel tank with the correctly mixed fuel (see Section 3.1).
- Prime the carburetor by pressing the primer bulb several times until fuel is visible.
- Move the choke lever to the 'FULL CHOKE' position.
- Place the unit on a flat, stable surface. Hold the unit firmly with one hand.
- Pull the starter rope with a brisk, steady motion until the engine attempts to start (usually 1-3 pulls). Do not pull the rope to its full extension.
- Once the engine 'pops' or attempts to start, move the choke lever to the 'HALF CHOKE' position.
- Pull the starter rope again until the engine starts.
- Once the engine runs, move the choke lever to the 'RUN' position and allow the engine to warm up for 30-60 seconds before operating.
- To stop the engine, press the engine stop switch.
4.2 Using as a String Trimmer
The string trimmer is ideal for cutting grass and light weeds around obstacles, fences, and garden beds.
- Hold the trimmer firmly with both hands, ensuring a balanced grip.
- Maintain a comfortable stance, keeping the cutting head parallel to the ground.
- Use a sweeping motion, moving the trimmer from side to side.
- Avoid cutting into hard surfaces or objects, which can damage the line and the unit.
- To advance the cutting line, tap the bump head lightly on the ground while the engine is running at full throttle.

The edger attachment provides clean, precise edges along sidewalks, driveways, and flower beds.
- Ensure the edger attachment is securely installed.
- Position the edger blade along the edge you wish to cut.
- Start the engine and allow it to reach full operating speed.
- Walk slowly and steadily, guiding the edger along the desired line.
