Setup and Installation
Follow these steps carefully to install your light fixture.
- Turn Off Power: Before starting, locate the circuit breaker or fuse box and turn off the power to the junction box where the fixture will be installed. Ensure the power is completely disconnected.
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging. Lay them out on a clean, soft surface to prevent scratches.
- Install Mounting Bracket: Attach the mounting bracket to the electrical junction box using the screws provided in the hardware kit. Ensure the bracket is securely fastened and level.
- Perform Wiring Connections:
- Connect the fixture's ground wire (bare copper or green) to the house supply ground wire.
- Connect the fixture's white wire (neutral) to the house supply white (neutral) wire.
- Connect the fixture's black wire (hot) to the house supply black (hot) wire.
- Mount Fixture Body: Carefully tuck all wires into the junction box. Align the fixture's base with the mounting bracket and secure it using the provided screws or decorative nuts. Ensure the fixture is flush against the wall and stable.
- Install Glass Shade: Place the seeded glass shade over the bulb socket. Secure it in place using the retaining ring or screws, depending on the specific design of your fixture. Do not overtighten.
- Install Bulb: Screw in one E26 base bulb (not included) into the socket. Ensure the bulb does not exceed the maximum wattage of 60 watts for incandescent bulbs, or use an equivalent LED bulb.
- Restore Power: Once installation is complete and all components are secure, turn the power back on at the circuit breaker or fuse box.

Operating Instructions
This light fixture is designed for simple operation via a standard wall switch (not included). Ensure the correct bulb type and wattage are used for optimal performance and safety.
- Power On/Off: Use the wall switch connected to the fixture's circuit to turn the light on or off.
- Bulb Requirements: The fixture requires one (1) E26 (medium) base bulb. The maximum allowable wattage for an incandescent bulb is 60 watts. For energy efficiency, consider using an equivalent LED bulb.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance will help preserve the appearance and functionality of your light fixture.
- Cleaning: To clean the fixture, ensure the power is off and the fixture is cool. Wipe the metal parts with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or polishes as they may damage the finish. For the glass shade, use a mild glass cleaner applied to a cloth, then wipe the glass. Do not spray cleaner directly onto the fixture.
- Bulb Replacement: Always turn off the power at the circuit breaker and allow the bulb to cool completely before attempting to replace it. Carefully unscrew the old bulb and screw in a new E26 base bulb, ensuring it does not exceed the maximum 60-watt incandescent rating.
Troubleshooting
If you experience issues with your light fixture, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Light does not illuminate:
- Check that the power is turned on at the circuit breaker.
- Ensure the bulb is screwed in correctly and is not burnt out. Replace if necessary.
- Verify all wire connections are secure and properly insulated.
- Light flickers:
- Ensure the bulb is fully seated in the socket.
- Check that the bulb wattage is within the fixture's specified limits.
- Inspect wire connections for any loose contacts.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, please contact a qualified electrician or Golden Lighting customer support.
