5. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps for proper installation of your JOYINLED 3W COB LED Downlights. Ensure power is disconnected before beginning.

1. Prepare the Installation Area:

   Identify the desired location for each downlight. Ensure there is sufficient space above the ceiling or cabinet for the fixture and driver. Mark the center point for each light.

2. Cut the Mounting Hole:

   Using a hole saw, carefully cut a circular hole with a diameter of 40-45mm (1.57-1.77 inches) at each marked location. Ensure the hole is clean and smooth.

3. Wiring the Driver:

   Connect the input wires of the LED driver to your main AC power supply (85-265V). The driver has two input wires, typically brown (Live) and blue (Neutral). Connect them securely to the corresponding wires from your electrical supply. Ensure power is OFF during this step.

4. Connect Downlight to Driver:

   Connect the output cable from the LED driver to the input cable of the downlight. These connections are typically plug-and-play for ease of installation. Ensure the connection is firm.

5. Insert the Downlight:

   Push the spring clips on the sides of the downlight upwards. Carefully insert the downlight into the prepared hole. The spring clips will automatically secure the fixture in place once it passes through the hole.

6. Adjust Direction (Optional):

   Once installed, the inner eyeball of the downlight can be gently tilted to adjust the light beam direction as needed.

7. Restore Power:

   After all lights are securely installed and wired, restore power at the circuit breaker. Test the lights to ensure proper operation.

6. Operation

The JOYINLED 3W COB LED Downlights operate simply once installed.

• Turning On/Off: Control the lights using the standard wall switch connected to the circuit.
• Adjusting Light Direction: Gently pivot the inner light module (eyeball) within the fixture to direct the light beam to your desired area.
• Non-Dimmable: These lights are designed for on/off operation only and are not compatible with dimmer switches.
