4. Setup
- Unpack the Unit: Carefully remove the air purifier from its packaging. Ensure all packing materials are removed.
- Filter Installation: The HEPA Media and Activated Carbon filters are typically pre-installed. Before first use, open the filter compartment (usually located on the back or side panel) and ensure the filters are unwrapped from any protective plastic bags. Reinsert them correctly if removed.
- Placement: Place the air purifier on a firm, level surface. Ensure there is adequate space (at least 6 inches) around the air intake and outlet vents for optimal airflow. This model is designed for small rooms such as bedrooms, dens, or nurseries.
- Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet.

5. Operating Instructions
The control panel is located on the top of the unit.

- Power Button (U): Press to turn the unit ON or OFF.
- Speed Button: Press to cycle through fan speeds: Low, Medium, High.
- Auto Mode: Press the 'Auto' button to activate DustSense technology. In this mode, the air purifier automatically adjusts fan speed based on detected air quality.
- Light Button: Press to turn the indicator lights ON or OFF.
- Timer Button: Press to set the operating time (e.g., 2, 4, 8 hours). The unit will automatically shut off after the selected duration.
DustSense Technology and Air Quality Indicator Bar
The Air Response Air Purifier features DustSense technology, which continuously monitors the air for particles. The Air Quality Indicator Bar provides visual feedback on the current air quality:
- Blue: Low particle count (Good air quality)
- Purple: Medium particle count (Moderate air quality)
- Red: High particle count (Poor air quality)

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your air purifier.
Filter Replacement
The Oreck Air Response Air Purifier uses a HEPA Media filter and an Activated Carbon filter. The unit features a replacement filter indicator to alert you when a filter change is needed.
- Unplug the Unit: Always unplug the air purifier before attempting any maintenance.
- Access Filters: Open the filter compartment cover.
- Remove Old Filters: Carefully remove the used HEPA Media and Activated Carbon filters. Dispose of them according to local regulations.
- Install New Filters: Insert new genuine Oreck replacement filters, ensuring they are correctly oriented.
- Close Cover: Securely close the filter compartment cover.
- Reset Filter Indicator: After replacing filters, press and hold the corresponding 'press to reset' button for the Odor Filter and HEPA Filter until the indicator light turns off.

Cleaning the Exterior
Wipe the exterior of the air purifier with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
