Carefully lift the kettle from the power base and pour the hot water. Always pour slowly and steadily to avoid splashing. Be cautious of steam escaping from the spout or lid.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance will prolong the life of your kettle and ensure optimal performance.

General Cleaning:

  • Always unplug the kettle from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  • Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as these can damage the finish.
  • Never immerse the kettle or its power base in water or any other liquid.

Descaling:

Limescale can build up inside the kettle over time, especially in hard water areas. This can affect boiling time and efficiency. Descale your kettle regularly (e.g., monthly or bi-monthly) using a commercial descaling solution or a natural method:

  • Commercial Descaler: Follow the instructions provided with your chosen descaling product.
  • Vinegar Method: Fill the kettle with 1 part white vinegar and 2 parts water. Bring to a boil and let it stand for several hours or overnight. Empty the kettle and rinse thoroughly several times with fresh water to remove any vinegar residue and smell.
  • Citric Acid Method: Dissolve 2 tablespoons of citric acid in 1 liter of water. Pour into the kettle, boil, and let stand for 15-30 minutes. Empty and rinse thoroughly.

Cleaning the Filter:

The kettle is equipped with a removable limescale filter located behind the spout. To clean:

  1. Ensure the kettle is cool and empty.
  2. Carefully remove the filter from its slot.
  3. Rinse the filter under running water and gently brush away any limescale deposits.
  4. Reinsert the clean filter into its position until it clicks into place.
