Please read and understand all safety instructions before installation and use. Failure to follow these instructions may result in property damage or injury.

  • Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses and gloves during installation.
  • Ensure the installation area is clear of electrical wiring, plumbing, or other hidden utilities before cutting or drilling into the floor.
  • This product is designed for permanent floor installation. Improper installation may compromise security.
  • Keep children and unauthorized persons away from the installation area.

5. Setup and Installation

The ARREGUI Basa floor safe drawer requires professional or experienced installation into the floor. The drawer must be installed so that its top cover is flush with the finished floor surface.

5.1 Site Preparation

  1. Choose Location: Select a discreet location in your home or office, typically under a carpet or piece of furniture, where the safe will be hidden.
  2. Measure: Carefully measure the dimensions of the drawer (12.5 cm H x 31.5 cm W x 38.6 cm D) to determine the required cavity size in the floor. Allow for slight clearance.
  3. Clear Area: Ensure the chosen area is free from any obstructions, including electrical conduits, water pipes, or structural elements. Consult building plans if necessary.

5.2 Floor Cavity Creation

Creating the floor cavity will vary depending on your floor type (concrete, wood, etc.). This step typically requires specialized tools and expertise. The cavity must be precisely sized to allow the drawer to sit flush with the floor surface.

5.3 Drawer Placement and Securing

  1. Insert Drawer: Carefully lower the ARREGUI Basa drawer into the prepared floor cavity. Ensure it fits snugly and the top edge is perfectly level with the surrounding floor.
  2. Mark Fixing Points: The drawer features pre-drilled fixing holes: 4 on the base and 3 on each side. Mark the corresponding points on the floor and cavity walls.
  3. Drill Pilot Holes: Using an appropriate drill bit, create pilot holes for the specialized fixing screws provided.
  4. Secure Drawer: Insert and tighten the specialized screws through the fixing holes to firmly anchor the drawer to the floor and cavity walls. Ensure the drawer is stable and cannot be easily removed.
