Setup

1. Battery Installation

For each handset:

1. Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the handset.
2. Insert the two AAA rechargeable batteries, observing the correct polarity (+ and -).
3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.
4. Place each handset on its respective charging base. Allow at least 15 hours for the initial charge before first use.

2. Base Station Connection

Connect the main base station (the one connected to the telephone line):

1. Plug one end of the telephone line cord into the TEL socket on the main base station.
2. Plug the other end of the telephone line cord into your telephone wall jack.
3. Connect the power adapter to the DC IN socket on the main base station.
4. Plug the power adapter into a standard electrical outlet.

For the second charging base, simply connect its power adapter to an electrical outlet. It does not require a telephone line connection.

3. Handset Registration

Your Brondi Gala Twin Dect handsets are typically pre-registered to the base station at the factory. If a handset displays 'Unregistered' or similar, or if you need to re-register a handset, follow these general steps:

1. On the base station, press and hold the registration button (usually marked with a signal icon) for approximately 3-5 seconds until the indicator light flashes.
2. On the handset, navigate to the 'Registration' menu option (refer to the handset display for specific menu navigation).
3. Select 'Register Handset' and enter the PIN code (default is usually 0000 or 1234).
4. The handset will search for the base station and register. A confirmation message will appear on the display.

Operating Instructions

1. Basic Functions

• Making a Call: Press the green call button, then dial the number. Alternatively, dial the number first, then press the green call button.
• Receiving a Call: When the phone rings, press the green call button.
• Ending a Call: Press the red end call button or place the handset back on the charging base.

2. Phonebook

The phonebook allows storage of up to 20 alphanumeric entries. Additionally, there are 3 direct memory keys for quick dialing.

• Adding a Contact: Navigate to the 'Phonebook' menu, select 'Add New Entry', enter the name and number, then save.
• Using Direct Memory Keys: Press and hold one of the dedicated direct memory keys (e.g., M1, M2, M3) to dial a pre-assigned number. To program these keys, refer to the handset's menu for 'Direct Memory Settings'.

3. ECO DECT Function

The Brondi Gala Twin Dect features a pre-programmed ECO DECT function. This technology automatically adjusts the transmitting power of the handset and base station based on their distance, reducing energy consumption and radiation when the handset is close to the base or when in standby mode.

4. Call Management

• Call Transfer: During an active call, you can transfer it to another registered handset. Press the 'Intercom' or 'Transfer' button, select the desired handset, and then hang up.
• Conference Call: This function allows an external call to be joined by another internal handset. During an external call, initiate an intercom call to another handset. Once connected, select the 'Conference' option from the menu.

5. Volume and Ringtones

• Ringtone Selection: You can choose from 5 standard ringtones. Access the 'Settings' menu, then 'Ringtone Settings' to select your preferred tone.
