Once installed, the operation of your new stereo will be governed by its own manufacturer's instructions.

8. Troubleshooting
8.1. Stereo Does Not Power On
If your aftermarket stereo does not power on after installation, verify the following:
- Power Connections: Ensure the constant 12V (Yellow wire) and switched 12V (Red wire) connections are correctly made and receiving power.
- Switched Power (ACC Circuit): In some General Motors vehicles, the factory wiring harness may not provide a switched 12V (accessory) signal directly to the radio connector. The red switched power wire from the aftermarket harness may connect to an empty slot in the factory connector. In such cases, you may need to locate an alternative switched 12V source in the vehicle (e.g., from the fuse box using an add-a-tap) and connect the red wire from the stereo harness to it. Use a multimeter to identify a circuit that receives power only when the ignition is on.
- Ground Connection: Confirm the black ground wire is securely connected to a reliable chassis ground point.
- Fuses: Check the fuse on the aftermarket stereo and any relevant vehicle fuses.
8.2. No Sound from Speakers
If there is no sound, check the following:
- Speaker Wiring: Verify all speaker wires are correctly connected (positive to positive, negative to negative) and not shorted.
