4.1 Unpacking and Placement

  1. Carefully remove the scale and all accessories from the packaging.
  2. Place the scale on a firm, level, and vibration-free surface. Ensure there is adequate space around the scale for operation and ventilation.
  3. Install the stainless steel pan onto the scale platform.

4.2 Power Supply

The scale can be powered by the included AC adapter or its internal rechargeable battery.

4.3 Initial Calibration Verification

Your ULINE Deluxe Counting Scale is calibrated before leaving the manufacturer's facility. However, vibrations during shipping may cause the scale to fall out of calibration. ULINE recommends re-verifying calibration in the field before first use. Refer to the Maintenance section for calibration steps.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Operation

  1. Power On/Off: Press the ON/OFF button to turn the scale on or off.
  2. Zeroing: Press the ZERO button to set the display to zero. This is useful before placing items on the platform.
  3. Tare Function: Place an empty container on the platform, then press the TARE button. The display will show zero, allowing you to weigh only the contents.
  4. Unit Conversion: Press the UNIT or MODE button to cycle through available weighing units: Pounds (LB), Kilograms (KG), Ounces (OZ), and Grams (G).

The scale can store weights or counts for up to 255 different items. Refer to the scale's on-screen menu or specific button functions for saving and recalling item data.

The scale features a backlit LCD display for clear readability in various lighting conditions. The digit height is 2 inches, and the overall display dimensions are 6 1/2 x 2 1/2 inches (W x H). The scale also has an auto shut-off feature to conserve battery life when not in use.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

To clean the scale, wipe the stainless steel pan and plastic housing with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or immerse the scale in water. Ensure no liquid enters the internal components.

6.2 Battery Charging

When the battery indicator shows low power, connect the AC adapter to recharge the internal 6V/4Ah battery. A full charge takes approximately 12 hours and provides up to 70 hours of operation.

6.3 Calibration

Regular calibration ensures the accuracy of your scale. Refer to the scale's on-screen prompts or a dedicated calibration button sequence (often involving pressing a specific key during power-on) for calibration procedures. You will need certified calibration weights for this process. If you are unsure, contact ULINE support.

7. Troubleshooting
