5.2 Selecting Speed
The BL188KB-QW features a 2-speed gearbox for optimal performance across different applications:
- Speed 1 (0-420 RPM): Ideal for high-torque applications such as driving screws and drilling large diameter holes in wood.
- Speed 2 (0-1650 RPM): Suitable for fast drilling in metal and smaller diameter holes.
Use the speed selector switch located on top of the tool to choose between Speed 1 and Speed 2.
5.3 Torque Settings
The tool offers 11 torque settings for maximum precision, preventing overtightening of screws and damage to materials. Rotate the torque collar to select the desired setting. For drilling, set the collar to the drill symbol.
5.4 Drilling and Screwdriving
Ensure the workpiece is securely clamped. Apply firm, steady pressure to the tool. For drilling, start at a low speed and gradually increase. For screwdriving, match the torque setting to the screw size and material.
