4. Setup and Connection

Before connecting the inverter, ensure your vehicle's engine is off and the inverter's power switch is in the 'OFF' position.

4.1 Connecting via Cigarette Lighter Plug (for loads up to 150W)

  1. Insert the cigarette lighter plug firmly into your vehicle's 12V accessory socket.
  2. Ensure the connection is secure.

4.2 Connecting via Battery Clamps (for loads up to 500W)

For higher power applications, use the included battery clamps to connect directly to your vehicle's battery terminals.

  1. Connect the RED clamp to the POSITIVE (+) terminal of the 12V battery.
  2. Connect the BLACK clamp to the NEGATIVE (-) terminal of the 12V battery.
  3. Ensure both connections are tight and secure.

Important: Always connect the inverter to the battery before turning on the inverter or connecting any devices.

5. Operation

Once the inverter is securely connected to a 12V DC power source:

  1. Power On: Flip the ON/OFF switch on the inverter to the 'ON' position. The green LED indicator will illuminate, indicating the inverter is operational.
  2. Connect AC Devices: Plug your 120V AC devices into the standard North American AC outlets. Ensure the total wattage of all connected AC devices does not exceed 500 watts.
  3. Connect USB Devices: Plug your USB-powered devices into the USB charging ports. The four USB ports share a total output of 9.6A.
  4. Power Off: When finished, first disconnect all devices from the inverter, then flip the ON/OFF switch to the 'OFF' position. Finally, disconnect the inverter from the 12V DC power source.

6. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your inverter.

  • Cleaning: Periodically clean the exterior of the inverter with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Ventilation: Ensure the cooling fan and ventilation openings are free from dust and debris. Blocked vents can lead to overheating.
  • Connections: Regularly check all electrical connections (cigarette lighter plug or battery clamps) to ensure they are secure and free from corrosion.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the inverter in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your inverter, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
No power output / Inverter not turning onLoose connection, low battery voltage, blown fuse, faulty power source.Check all connections. Ensure battery voltage is above 11V. Replace fuse if blown (refer to manual for fuse type). Test power source.
Inverter shuts down / Red LED indicatorOverload, overheating, low battery voltage, high battery voltage.Reduce connected load. Allow inverter to cool down. Recharge or replace battery. Ensure input voltage is within 11V-15V.
Fan not runningNormal operation (fan is temperature-controlled), blocked fan.The fan only runs when needed to cool the unit. If the unit is hot and fan is not running, check for obstructions.
