Important Safeguards

- A fire may occur if the toaster oven is covered or touching flammable material, including curtains, drapes, walls, and the like, when in operation.
- Do not store any items on top of the appliance when in operation.
- Do not place any of the following materials in the oven: paper, cardboard, plastic, and other flammable materials.
- Do not cover crumb tray or any part of the oven with metal foil.
- Do not clean with metal scouring pads. Pieces can break off the pad and touch electrical parts, creating a risk of electric shock.
- Always wear protective, insulated oven mitts when inserting or removing items from the hot oven.
- The appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.

- Placement: Place the toaster oven on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is at least 4 inches (10 cm) of space on all sides and above the oven for proper ventilation.
- Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet.
- Initial Burn-Off: Before first use, operate the oven at 400°F (200°C) on the BAKE function for approximately 10 minutes to burn off any manufacturing residues. This may produce a slight odor or smoke, which is normal. Ensure good ventilation during this process.
Operating Instructions
Always ensure the oven door is closed when operating, unless otherwise specified for specific tasks like checking food.
Toasting:
- Place items to be toasted directly on the wire rack. The oven can accommodate up to four slices of standard bread.
- Close the oven door.
- Turn the Function Dial to the TOAST setting.
- Turn the Timer/Toast Shade Dial past the 10-minute mark, then back to your desired toast shade (light to dark). The power indicator light will illuminate.
- The oven will automatically turn off and a bell will sound when the toasting cycle is complete.
Baking:
- Place food in the baking pan, then place the baking pan on the wire rack. Adjust the wire rack to the desired height for your recipe.
- Close the oven door.
- Turn the Function Dial to the BAKE setting.
- Turn the Temperature Dial to the desired baking temperature.
- Turn the Timer/Toast Shade Dial to the desired baking time. The power indicator light will illuminate.
- The oven will automatically turn off and a bell will sound when the baking cycle is complete.
Broiling:
- Place food in the baking pan, then place the baking pan on the wire rack. For best broiling results, position the wire rack in the upper slot to bring food closer to the heating elements.
- Close the oven door.
- Turn the Function Dial to the BROIL setting.
- Turn the Temperature Dial to the desired broiling temperature (typically high).
- Turn the Timer/Toast Shade Dial to the desired broiling time. The power indicator light will illuminate.
- Monitor food closely during broiling to prevent burning. The oven will automatically turn off and a bell will sound when the broiling cycle is complete.
Keep Warm:
- Place cooked food in the baking pan or an oven-safe dish on the wire rack.
- Close the oven door.
- Turn the Function Dial to the KEEP WARM setting.
- Turn the Timer/Toast Shade Dial to the desired keep warm time. The power indicator light will illuminate.
- The oven will automatically turn off and a bell will sound when the cycle is complete.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning helps maintain the performance and longevity of your toaster oven.
- Always Unplug: Before cleaning, ensure the toaster oven is unplugged from the electrical outlet and has completely cooled down.
- Crumb Tray: Pull out the removable crumb tray from the bottom of the oven. Empty any crumbs and wash the tray in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before returning it to the oven.
- Wire Rack and Baking Pan: Remove the wire rack and baking pan. Wash them in warm, soapy water, rinse, and dry thoroughly. These are generally dishwasher-safe, but hand washing is recommended for best results.
- Interior: Wipe the interior surfaces of the oven with a damp cloth or sponge. For stubborn stains, use a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Do not use metal scouring pads or abrasive cleaners, as they can damage the interior finish.
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior surfaces with a damp cloth or sponge. Dry thoroughly. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could scratch the stainless steel finish.
- Door: Clean the glass door with a damp cloth and a mild glass cleaner if necessary.
