3. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your ELP Dome USB Security Camera.

3.1 System Requirements

• Operating System: Windows XP/Vista/7/8/10, Linux (UVC compatible), Mac OS X 10.4.8 or later, Android 4.0 or above.
• USB Port: Available USB2.0 port.

3.2 Installation Steps

1. Choose a Location: Select a suitable location for mounting the camera. The camera is designed for outdoor use and can be wall-mounted. Ensure the location provides a clear field of view and is within reach of the 5-meter USB cable for connection to your device.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Accessing the Camera Feed

After connecting the camera, open your preferred video capture or communication software. Select the ELP USB Camera from the list of available video input devices. The live feed from the camera should then be displayed.

4.2 Day and Night Vision

The camera is equipped with infrared (IR) LEDs and an automatic IR Cut filter for seamless day and night vision. In sufficient light, the camera operates in color mode. As ambient light decreases, the camera will automatically switch to black and white night vision mode, activating the IR LEDs to provide visibility in low-light or no-light conditions.

4.3 Video Recording and Streaming

• Cable Inspection: Periodically check the USB cable for any signs of damage, fraying, or wear. Replace if necessary to prevent connectivity issues.
