4.2 Cooking Modes

The Brandt FC420MUB offers 5 cooking modes:

  1. Traditional Oven (Top and Bottom Heat): Ideal for baking cakes, quiches, and tarts. Provides even heat from both elements.
  2. Convection (Fan-Assisted Heat): Uses a fan to circulate hot air, ensuring homogeneous cooking and faster results. Suitable for roasting meats and poultry.
  3. Grill (Top Heat Only): Perfect for browning, toasting, and grilling dishes like gratins or sandwiches.
  4. Bottom Heat Only: For delicate baking or reheating where bottom crisping is desired.
  5. Top Heat Only: For browning the top of dishes without further cooking the bottom.

4.3 Setting Temperature and Timer

  1. Select Cooking Mode: Turn the middle knob to the desired cooking mode.
  2. Set Temperature: Turn the top knob to the desired temperature (e.g., 180°C for most baking).
  3. Set Timer: Turn the bottom knob to the desired cooking time (up to 120 minutes). The oven will start heating. For continuous operation, turn the timer knob past the "0" mark to the "stay on" position (often indicated by a bell icon or similar).
